Survision unveils a subtle logo refresh marking a shift towards Vehicle Recognition

Updated technology enables company systems to go beyond the plate and analyze a vehicle's make, model, color, and even the presence of dents on the license plate.

June 8th, 2025 — Survision, a global leader in License Plate Recognition (LPR) and vehicle identification technology, is entering a new chapter. The company has evolved beyond identifying license plates, embracing a more innovative and comprehensive approach to full vehicle recognition. This shift toward complete vehicle identity is now visually represented in Survision’s refreshed logo, which now has dropped the “License Plate Recognition” Tagline.

A New Direction: Beyond the Plate

License plates remain the most essential element in identifying vehicles, they are the legal and administrative link between a car and its driver. But in the real world, plates aren’t always visible, readable, or intact. To meet these challenges, Survision is expanding its capabilities to offer a more comprehensive and adaptable approach to vehicle identification.

This expanded toolkit enhances vehicle recognition, making it more precise, intelligent, and resilient in real-world conditions, where LPR alone may not always be sufficient.

Laura Caillot, Survision Managing Director, said:

AI alone is not enough. We need a combination of experience (like the one that Survision has been doing with license plate recognition for over 20 years), with the new AI-driven capabilities. By combining these two factors, we can make a significant difference, providing new solutions that revolutionize the vehicle recognition industry.

A visual identity change to match the new vision

The logo refresh symbolizes this evolution. While LPR continues to anchor Survision’s mission, the updated visual identity points to the broader context of vehicle recognition — a system that sees more, understands more, and performs better in complex environments.

This visual update represents more than just a design change. It affirms Survision’s expanding role in shaping intelligent transportation systems, vehicle access control, and digital parking infrastructure globally.
