Atout Ports Marinas

Atout Ports, a French international marina manager, has faced several complex challenges in its quest for efficient and optimized management of port areas in France. 

With many locations, they sought to improve these port parkings:

• Port de Granville, Manche: known for boating, fishing port, and passage to the Channel Islands. 
• Port de la Grande Motte, Hérault:  Halfway between Corsica and the Balearic Islands, the port is located in the heart of the town, accessible by train.
• Port de Pornic, Loire-Atlantique: Marina, located in the bay of Bourgneuf
• Port de Vannes & Port d’Arradon, Bretagne-sud: marinas in the Gulf of Morbihan. 
• Port-Blanc sur Ile-aux-Moines, Bretagne: the site of the annual Sailing Festival. 

The Challenge

In these tourist port cities, where optimizing each parking space is crucial, the underutilization of these lots was an issue. 

The main challenge was to offer a global and integrated solution to boaters, as well as manage ramps for launching boats and parking vehicles during the travel period. 

At the same time, Atout Ports sought to expand the use of port areas and their parking lots while guaranteeing a high level of comfort for boaters and meeting the needs of local municipalities, which often cater to tourists. 

Managing parking spaces properly involves considering seasonal trends, such as underutilization of spaces during low-season periods and user groups (port customers and regular and one-off boaters).

Atout Ports had clear and ambitious expectations regarding the modernization of its marina car parks: incomparable service and maximum efficiency. 

Choosing the perfect parking system was imperative in their planning, as these components would support the marina's operations through different periods, both slower and peak periods.

The Solution

The installation of the HUB PARCS solution using Survision’s Micropak Totem cameras at each entrance and exit has led to significant improvements for Atout Ports in all their ports, where they offer the same level of comfort to boats and any other vehicle...on wheels.

Results

Through Survision LPR Cameras, Atout Ports parking lot users can enjoy a more seamless entry & exit.

Statistics showed a significant increase in parking lot occupancy thanks to better space management and data synchronization. 

Parking space turnover is higher, and transit enforcement is more timely, resulting in shorter or no queues and a smoother experience for all drivers. 

Municipalities have benefited from the multimodal and optimized use of parking capacity, thus addressing the tourist and civic problems typical of port cities.
