LPR cameras are advanced traffic sensors used to capture and digitalize images from license plates. This is called License Plate Recognition (LPR). For LPR to be useful it has to be done in real-time (20ms or less) and with very high precision (99% or more); Regular video cameras can't do this.
Equipped with special hardware and firmware, LPR cameras instantly recognize, capture and analyze the license plate image, performing additional operations beyond the regular OCR (Optical Character Recognition), specific to License Plates (and to every region plate design!); this makes the digitalization process possible in complex/extreme conditions such as moving targets, very open angles, poor ambiance light, fog, dirt, etc.
Specialized LPR cameras perform the whole LPR process without the intervention of external equipment or software.
Different types of LPR cameras with specific capabilities for multiple scenarios with different requirements such as ticketless parking, tolling, access control, street surveillance and smart cities
High performance LPR camera for the most challenging sites such as very short distances and open angles
More affordable, smaller yet very fast and precise LPR camera, ideal for barrier or totem embedding
The world's smallest LPR camera for security and on-street parking control
Ideal for ITS and Tolling, this powerful camera works at large distances and very high speeds
Compact and affordable LPR camera with 4G connection, designed for Smart city
Thanks to Ad-Hoc hardware and firmware, LPR Cameras are specifically designed to locate, read and digitalize license plates in complex conditions where other equipment fails
Despite the country or region, even Vanity Plates!
Lights, protection and connection are integrated into the LPR Cameras
LPR is performed in the LPR cameras firmware
LPR can be triggered by external device or by the license plate itself
Neural networks are used to learn from every plate read and increase performance over time
Up to 155 mph (250 km/h)
The shortest distance (from 5ft!) at the highest accurate reading speed (20ms)
You do not need more than 1 Survision LPR camera to get LPR working
Software tools for system integration or app building
LPR Integration to city sensors can improve management of traffic, security and pollution in the cities
Survision standalone LPR Cameras are the perfect piece of hardware for modern LPR parking (On-street and Off-Street) solutions
LPR cameras can help increase security and service quality in all kind of restricted access sites
Survision LPR cameras have given security forces the ability to identify vehicles by plate numbers at street level
LPR cameras precise enough to meet free flow tolling and road monitoring challenges
